BANARASI + LEATHER

Hello there, We as a generation, we are very much inclined towards western fashion and so am I. But i am also a sucker for vintage Indian fabrics and as it tells you so much about our rich culture. So, let me tell you a little bit about Banarasi fabric. Banarasi fabric belongs to the beautiful city of Varanasi, Uttar pradesh. Banarasi is a reflection of the city, a city so colourful and vibrant. Banarasi is a variant of silk and it is very famous all over India. Banarasi silk is very well mentioned in MAHABHRATHA and BUDDHIST SCRIPTURES.  Even today Banarasi silk is considered as one of the most finest fabrics in India. It is mainly known for its designing and gold or silver brocade or zari. 3 craftsmen makes one Banarasi saree using their power loom. An ideal banarasi saree contains 5600 thread wires. This fabric is a contribution to our ancient Indian culture and it cannot be anymore beautiful. Me , (an amateur lover of fashion and art) tried to revamp my mother's old ban
